HostelCuba 2025: An event to improve the tourism industry

Sponsored by the ministries of Tourism, Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Palco Business Group, the 5th International Hotel and Restaurant Trade Fair (HostelCuba 2025) will be held from May 27 to 29 in Havana.
So far, the participation of 57 exhibiting companies has been confirmed, 47 of them from nations including: Canada, China, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States.
Cuba will be represented at the event by 15 companies, including new economic actors such as micro, small and medium-sized state and private enterprises (MSMEs) and non-agricultural cooperatives. These new forms of production is part of the Cuban government’s strategy to promote productive transformation as a means of economic development of the Caribbean nation.
The main objective of the event is to develop the tourism sector and contribute to the evolution of the Cuban economy, which is why insurance and essential services for customer service will be addressed, as announced by Michel Zamora González, Mintur director of logistics. The official also revealed that this is an opportunity to do business with companies interested in the Cuban market and thus gain knowledge about new trends in the sector, which apply renewable energy as an element that enhances the development of tourism.
Meanwhile, Rafael Rodríguez, director of the Havana International Conference Center, Pabexpo, noted that the event will also include sectors related to equipment, machinery, furnishings, interior design, technology and food, among others, all useful to complement a service of excellence in the tourism industry.
